UW-Madison alumna Coon receives Emmy nomination

UW-Madison alumna Carrie Coon received an Emmy nomination for her role in "Fargo."

Coon received a master of fine arts in acting from UW-Madison's Department of Theatre and Drama in 2006. The department today is housed within the School of Education. 

Coon has also starred in, among other productions, the film "Gone Girl," the TV series "The Leftovers" and was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"
