Gary L Anderson will discuss Participatory Action Research (PAR), which is growing in popularity due to its commitment to doing research with rather than on or for participants, its potential for challenging policy and practice from the bottom-up, and its multiple goals of knowledge generation, concrete action and critical pedagogy.

This Department of Educational Psychology Colloquium presentation will highlight research from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Susan Sheridan on Teachers and Parents as Partners (previously known as conjoint behavioral consultation). This family-school partnership intervention that supports children’s development by engaging families, strengthening family-school connections, and building parent and teacher competencies.

The event includes professional photography, a photo booth, a visit from Bucky from 3-3:30, refreshments. Have your hood bestowed by your advisor and receive congratulations from Dean Diana Hess.

Celebrate your achievement with the School of Education! All School of Education master's and bachelor's degree graduates and their guests are invited to attend. The event includes professional photography, a photo booth, a visit from Bucky from 9-9:30, and a continental breakfast of pastries, yogurt, coffee, and juice. Graduates will walk across the stage to receive their red diploma cover and congratulations from Dean Diana Hess.
