About every four years, the Chazen Museum of Art presents an exhibition of current work by the faculty of the UW–Madison Art Department, who not only teach but actively pursue their own art and have exhibited nationally and internationally. This group exhibition represents the breadth and scope of contemporary art practice and highlights the diversity of the art faculty. Compendium 2012: Art Department Faculty Exhibition will be on view February 4–April 1, 2012.
A series of art faculty talks will accompany the exhibition. In this series of gallery talks, art faculty will speak for 40 minutes about their current work. The series provides a forum for students as well as the campus and broader communities to engage with the work and the artists. Gallery talks begin in the Chazen lobby.
