Performing Ourselves: Fostering Resilience Through Dance

Performing Ourselves is a community dance program that employs UW-Madison undergraduate students to foster resilience in underserved area youth through the modality of dance. This presentation will introduce the program, and explain how the unique curriculum combines dance education, dance/movement therapy principles and resilience to build self-confidence and empower youth all over the Madison area.

Sarah Schwab, PO Assistant Program Manager, UW Alumni - BS in Dance and Community & Nonprofit Leadership, Certificate in Dance/Movement Therapy
