A Framework for Supporting Teachers to Facilitate Effective Whole Class Discussions in K-8 Mathematics

Description
Teruni Lamberg is a professor, author, and principal investigator of the Nevada Mathematics Project, and will spend her sabbatical as a visiting scholar at UW-Madison.

In her talk, "A Framework for Supporting Teachers to Facilitate Effective Whole Class Discussions in K-8 Mathematics," Lamberg will share a framework for facilitating whole class discussions that has helped K-8 teachers improve student achievement scores in mathematics. The lecture will include a video of an effective whole class discussion and will allow audience members to connect their own research to this framework and its implications.
