Panel discussion on, 'Twice Alive: A Convergence of Art, Science And Poetry'

A panel discussion featuring Emily Arthur, assistant professor of art at UW-Madison; Forrest Gander, professor of literary arts and comparative literature at Brown University; and Anne Pringle, professor of botany and bacteriology at UW-Madison.

This talk will examine this interdisciplinary collaboration that explores the relations of science and art through the study of lichens and fungi. Three of the collaborators on the "Twice Alive" project will speak: Pringle will talk about the science of fungi; Arthur will discuss her research as it relates to the fields of art and science in printmaking; and Gander will read his poetry.
