Description
S. Craig Watkins investigates the relationship between social and technological change, and social inequality. 

In this talk, Watkins will discuss some of the insights generated by his ethnographic research in resource-constrained schools and argue that educators must begin helping students develop the skills to better understand the many implications of the Internet in our lives.

S. Craig Watkins is a professor of radio-television-film and the Center for African and African American Studies at the University of Texas at Austin.
