Spring 2019 Visiting Artist Colloquium: Michael Weiss

Michael Weiss uses traditional painting materials and methods to create contemporary images containing oblique, but not opaque content. The organic nature of his work develops through a manipulation of paint and surface to reveal an image, offering information of a potential, rather than specific meaning.

Discover the latest developments in fine arts, craft, and design at our free public lectures by some of the most prominent artists, critics, and gallery and museum directors. The Visiting Artist Colloquium is held every Wednesday during the academic year, and is free and open to the public.
