UW-Madison alumnus F. King Alexander, a WISCAPE affiliate, reflects on his first year as president and chancellor of Louisiana State University (LSU) in a recent video in The Advocate.
After the Board of Supervisors' secrecy in its search for the new president and chancellor produced initial skepticism among the people of LSU, Alexander won over many critics through his policy of accessibility and transparency of information.
“Access and affordability and completion, those are three of our major goals,” he says. “I want parents to be armed with all of the information.”
Alexander earned his Ph.D. from UW-Madison's Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis in 1996.
